Top 5 Accountancy firm seek a Bid Advisor to support the Bids & Pursuits Team on Pursuits & Opportunity Conversion Leads (or Head of Bids and Pursuits) and opportunity teams. You will also get the chance to lead aspects of the bid yourself whilst supported by experienced, professional team members who have helped win and keep major clients.

Core duties:

  • Develop a draft project plan that details all milestones within the opportunity lifecycle (meetings, strategy and proposition development, document production, presentation preparation and debriefs etc) Agreeing the plan with the relevant Pursuits & Opportunity Conversion Lead (or Head of Bids and Pursuits) and communicating it to the opportunity team.
  • Advise opportunity teams on the requirements of the plan and getting their buy-in to follow it.
  • Drive activity on the plan so all milestones and deliverables are met on time. This includes booking meetings and making sure participants have relevant material, reminding contributors about their milestones and checking they will be met on time. You will also make sure all tender documents are signed off by an appropriate member of the team
  • Lead document production. This includes booking and briefing design resources, day-to-day liaison with design team, booking any reviews (or specialist contributors) and organising any printing or other collateral to ensure it is of a high standard and meets the requirements set by the RFP. Maintaining version control.
  • Help to develop and promote best practice systems and procedures, including bid tools, methodologies, templates and credentials data
  • Make sure our team gathers feedback from the client and internal teams to help identify areas of improvement/investment

Ideal candidates must have the following:

  • An interest in bidding (and winning)
  • Relevant experience of working in a bid and pursuits team (ideally from a professional services business)
  • Willingness to manage ambiguity
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and organise in a time-sensitive environment
  • Strong English writing and communication skills
  • Sound experience and good understanding of proposal production
  • Ability to adapt style to different stakeholders
  • A degree/ relevant professional qualification is desired (but not essential).
